
Robert Durso attended the Peabody Conservatory of Music, Indiana University–Bloomington, and Temple University in Philadelphia. He has performed extensively throughout the United States, including appearances at Carnegie Recital Hall, and has maintained an active international career with engagements in Cagliari, Rome, Vienna, Brussels, France, Caracas, Zurich, Taiwan, and Oxford. A versatile chamber musician, Mr. Durso is the Co‑founder of The Belmonte Trio and has collaborated widely in performances across the United States—including San Francisco, CA; Tampa, FL; Hartford, CT; and Frederick, MD—as well as with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Mr. Durso is a Co‑founder and Senior Director of the Golandsky Institute and has worked closely with both Dorothy Taubman and Edna Golandsky for more than forty‑five years. Recognized internationally as one of the foremost authorities on the Taubman Approach, he is an expert in piano technique and injury prevention and has been invited to teach throughout Europe, Great Britain, the Far East, South America, and across the United States. Renowned for his work in audition and competition preparation, his students have earned more than ninety First and Top Prizes in national and international competitions.
